Branded Cross Bars

Artists’ quality 16 mm deep cross-bars made from kiln dried laminated pine. Available from 8 inches to 84 inches. Cross-bars are available for all sizes. These are useful for bracing a larger frame, and are necessary when one of the dimensions is over 40". Our stretcher bars are centre-mortised for cross-bars from 36" in length. Cross-bars also are notched for overlap from 36", so it is possible to make a '4 window' cross-bar arrangement. We supply cross-bars notched for over-lap in a 'front' and 'back' format. When making a frame you will need one 'front' and one 'back' cross-bar. All bars are supplied with wooden wedges.
